   Tiao - A has different significances depending on the literal meanings and colloquial usings of different language. The artist used Taiwanese colloquial using to entitle the artwork that the demotic expression represents pillar, whereas if it translates to the Chinese language the literal Chinese language ‘條子’ will have other meaning which slang presents the police officers. The artist used two meaning to consider what does our society look like and what kind of things we can believe.

  In Taiwan, citizens have undergone terrible slaughtered events many times. Police officers and militaries played key roles who had powerful and irresponsible authorities to arrest or kill citizens if they regard citizens as spies or anti-government rebels. During the period of current society, many illegal wrongdoers are regarded as being civilized people, and then they could not suffer any punishment, and moreover, if they are psychos, they will escape from jails. Because of the above situation, citizens doubt the national regulations and society. The national authorities and regulations have to set up the primary power for keeping citizens to be safety, whereas society takes place terrible problems by abusing authorities, unfair, and without pitying situation. 

  Those illegal, abominable, ignominious behaviours, and actions are unpossible to be regarded, so the artist produced a contradictory situation on the creation. As we know that, pillars are the significant structures for every building, whereas the artists composed the fragile images which human bodies are not completeness. Although the artist has not experienced previous terrible events, the creation would not only reveal the artist’s imaginations but also state the disgusting human history. The artist has tried to find out some terrible events which are relevant to him or his life. Many previous building companies used cheap and unreliable concrete, which contains a high quantity of sea sand to structure significant parts like walls, pillars, and roofs. A few years ago, the artist's neighbour also found quilts compose the base of the bathtub. Previous history and citizens’ experiences are relevant to a critical problem that any amount of information is false, and then people would not want to discover unless events are not concealed. 

  The essential functions of pillars are supporting the whole buildings or personal spirit, whereas the artist wants to break and explore the real situation why people have not pointed out the real things and why people can accept the false things compose their lives and social interactions.
